Avanços na identificação de Altas Habilidades
Matéria do Jornal “O Globo” destaca melhorias na identificação de superdotados.
Representando um pequeno avanço nos últimos anos, o jornal mostra que governo e sociedade reconhecem melhor as necessidades dos altos habilidosos e, mesmo ainda longe da estimativa de 5% da população escolar, segundo previsão da Organização Mundial de Saúde (OMS), há agora a timída presença de alto habilidosos em censos escolares do Ministério da Educação e diversas Secretarias, em contraste com a sua inexistência há alguns anos.
Porém, as entidades especializadas em superdotados ainda apontam dificuldades, segundo destacou o jornal. Para a presidente da APAHSD, Ada Cristina Toscanini, o problema da formação de especialistas ainda persiste:
— Os professores, de forma geral, ainda não têm formação adequada para identificar os superdotados nem para atendê-los. O superdotado ainda é discriminado, visto como doente, pessoa com problemas nervosos ou hiperativo.
Ressaltando que todos as crianças da matéria foram identificadas pela APAHSD, confira a versão on-line e a versão impressa.
